All information collected at different levels of care shall be integrated into a common file and an electronic archiving system shall be developed for the storage of electronic data.

Destruction of data is not suggested because of the following reasons:
* Future reference for possible illegitimate data.
* Data audit trail.

There must be specific guidelines for proper encoding, recording, and storage of data.
